37 Days Left and Counting...
So I have 37 days until I leave for Logan. My official flight itinerary is as follows, depart Logan airport at 7:35pm on Friday July 3rd, arrive JFK international airport at 8:55pm. Depart JFK at 12:30am Sat July 4th, arrive in Seoul at 4am on Sun July 5th...
I'm actually looking forward to the 14 1/2 hour flight to Seoul, since I will finally be able to relax a little! I've been busy with finishing things up in the lab, preparing for a drawing show in June, moving out of my apartment, and saying goodbye to people. However, I have been also preparing for Korea in whatever small ways that I can, which include but are not limited to: learning how to use metal chopsticks, watching Korean dramas, attempting to memorize one ridiculous K-pop song so that I may impress the locals at karaoke (see below), and eating kimchi for breakfast. I know these things may seem frivolous and superficial, but there's really nothing I can do to actually prepare for the culture shock, so I may as well take care of the little things. Though the memorizing of one song is slow going. It's a good thing I'm getting a head start. I've got the chorus down. ---I want nobody nobody but you! ^^
